Christmas trees, lights, images of St. Nick and Nativity Scenes are visible all over town. Here is some trivia about Christmas that you may not have known....
- St. Nick was a Turkish Monk who would be benevolent towards those with less and show kindness to children by giving them gifts.
- The Christmas tree didn't become popular in America or England until Queen Victoria married Prince Albert - he being of German heritage had the tradition of a Christmas tree therefore making it popular in England and eventually it was popular in the States.
- In Spanish or South American countries, they celebrate Christmas and Epiphany with a visit from the Three Wise Men who bring goodies and place it in children's shoes just as they brought gifts for the Christ child.
