The holidays have passed and it is the beginning of a New Year. The winter season is beginning to be at it's peak in the Northern States and here along the coast the Snowbirds have arrived to brave the winter in milder temps.

Many choose to return year after year to Navarre Beach because of its quiet locale and beauty. With golfing, swimming - if at a resort with a heated pool, and a bike trail open from Navarre to Pensacola Beach  - there is plenty to keep one busy during the winter season.

Navarre Beach Golf Fest

Sponsored  by United Way of Santa Rosa County, Navarre Beach Golf Fest will be played at two golf courses: Tiger Point and Hidden Creek. Make sure to register by October 20 and the Fest begins Oct 20-21. Enjoy playing a round of golf at each course.

While you play, there is plenty to keep the family busy: Gulf Breeze Zoo, the Marine Science Station, and the beach.

Tee Time at Hidden Creek Golf and Country Club

It is the season for snowbirds at Navarre Vacation Rentals and golfing is one way to spend January and February months in the Florida sunshine.

One of two golf courses within 15 to 20 minutes from Navarre Beach is Hidden Creek golf and country club.

This course was developed around 1988 by a well known golf course architect, Ron Garl. Hidden Creek was also rated as one of the best golf courses in Northwest Florida by Golf Digest.

Hidden Creek is open to the public and offers a practice facility, private lessons, well stocked golf shop, and for after the game, dining at the Tuscan Grille with views overlooking the course.

Golf rates vary depending on day of the week or time of day, but are posted on the Hidden Creek website. For your convenience, Hidden Creek also offers online Tee times.
