The weather surprisingly has been cooler this week - much to the chagrin of the Spring Breakers that are here. But at Navarre Vacation Rentals our realm of control regarding weather is somewhat limited. At least the days have been beautiful although cooler.

I have spotted a few bold souls to sit in the pool (not heated) in their swimsuits when the air temp is barely 60 degrees - Who knows how warm the water felt like. They are the ones determined to experience the joys of sunbathing even if the weather doesn't cooperate, the die hard vacationers.


According to the weather man, the temperatures should improve to some warmer weather for Easter.

February on the Gulf Coast

Are you ready? February is almost here. And there is much to do and to be done.

To start off the month for all you athletically minded individuals, there is the Pensacola Double Bridge Run. (Time is running out to register.) The Run will take place Feb 2; the 15K will begin at 7 am and the 5k run walk will begin at 8:30am.

For all the snowbirds, the Navarre Beach Chamber will be hosting their annual Snowbird Open House. All snowbirds are asked to RSVP. This event provides opportunities for the Snowbirds to see what the local community has to offer as well as the opportunity to win door prizes.

Everyone remembers February for Valentine's Day - yes, it is 2 weeks away. How will you spend it with your sweetheart?  Navarre Beach has the perfect prices and accommodations for a romantic weekend away.

To finish the month off prepare for the River Walk Arts Festival located in the historic river town of Milton. Locals and artisans will show off their latest goods and creations.

We are living in an age of ever increasing technology. The Jetsons cartoon has come to pass with video phones, skype, hand held computers, and constant communication. Navarre Vacation Rentals is continuing to keep up with the latest means to meet you where you are.

Last but not least, NVR is in the works of getting an App published for Ipads, IPhones, and Android phones. We called it “NVR Planner”.  It is designed to make our local info, contact info, calendar of events, restaurants and local attractions all at your fingertips. The App will be free and we hope to hear that soon it will be available to you our vacationing guests.
